Apricot

The “golden apples” of the Romans or the “golden eggs of the sun” as the Ancient Greeks called them are a particularly beloved fruit. They contain iron, potassium, fiber, carotenoids (also responsible for their characteristic orange color) and mainly Vitamin A. In Greece, many varieties of the beloved fruit are grown, among them the most popular are Diamantopoulou, Bebekou, Early Tirinthas, Niris and others.
