The pear shape is characteristic, it narrows as it approaches the stem and widens at the bottom. Their color varies, from light green and yellowish, light yellow to reddish-green depending on the variety. Their flesh is white and very sweet.
There are many varieties, with the domestic production mainly featuring “Crystals”, the well-known short trees with small fruit, and the “Hayland” which are quite large in size, with soft flesh.
